Hello my lovely sisters and if there any brothers welcome back.
This afternoon I happened to be thinking about the struggles we go through. The temptations of Satan and how we are promised his kingdom but we must worship him. How horrible a thought because he wants nothing more to destroy and damn as many souls possible to hell along with him and the rest of the fallen angels. Face it Satan has no allegiance to anyone but himself. For he was kicked out of heaven for believing he could be God, the same God who made him and gave him the power he has! While I was thinking about this I was reminded that God gives Satan the power to test us, but the most amazing truth in that is the enemy tries to get us to forget that WE already have the POWER to resist him to the point where he will flee. James 4:7 “Submit yourselves then unto God. Resist the Devil, and he will flee from you.” Which is why he reminds us of failures, tempts us with things like men/women, money, jobs, cars, and lies because once we realize the power given to us he has NOTHING. Sure he can manipulate those around us but the bible already said in 1 John 4:4 “Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.” Jesus did the hard part by taking all sin on the cross. All we have to do is follow His example of resisting the devil and allowing God to deal with the rest. Luke 10:19 “Behold I give unto you power to tread on serpents, and scorpions, and over ALL the power of the enemy: and nothing by any means shall hurt you.” While He takes care of the rest we can rest! Matthew 11:28-30 “Come unto me, all you that are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you because I am humble and gentle, and you will find rest in your souls. For my yoke fits perfectly, and the burden I give you is light.” This doesn’t mean that we won’t go through trials but it does guarantee that we will get what Satan stole from us and more. Don’t believe me. The bible says in Mark 10: 30 “But he shall receive an hundred times over houses, brother, sisters, mothers, children, and property-with persecutions. And in the world to come they will have eternal life.” Now DON’T shoot the messenger, Jesus’s words not mine. He knows because HE endured the same temptations, tricks, and lies from the enemy in Matthew 4. He was able to surpass and so can we because He is with us always, and the Holy Spirit will help us.
So I’m sure you all are asking well how do I do that? Well I am glad you asked. So below is the list.
2. Forgive and ask for forgiveness
3. Dress in the armor of God (Ephesians 6:11-17)
4. Be humble, Gentle, Kind, and LOVE unconditionally as the Father does
5. Pray about the circumstance without ceasing.
6. Trust in the Lord
7. Rest assured that God has you and the victory was already won.
Know that as I am writing this I too have been fighting the good fight and no it’s not easy. I have suffered loss, pain, disappointment, and hurt. But God, has, is, and will always be my strength. Know I am praying for you. Remember GOD IS LOVE.
